Pultruded fiberglass angle steel is made of a composite material composed of polyester resin and fiberglass. The pultrusion process produces fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP) with continuous length of reinforcing fibers that are lightweight but strong due to their high tensile strength.
During the extrusion process, angle steel can be formed into any size and customized to meet the needs of various projects. For example, pigments can be added to achieve the desired color, or UV resistant coatings can be applied to provide durability for outdoor use.
The composite matrix can be adjusted to create glass fiber angles with different properties.
For example, the resin system and glass content can be varied to meet specific requirements, such as providing high strength, resistance to different temperature ranges, or adding flame retardancy, track resistance, and corrosion resistance.
