Shanghai Laogang Renewable Energy Utilization Center

The FRP cooling tower for the second phase of the Shanghai Laogang Renewable Energy Utilization Center project was designed by SPX company. It consists of 10 mechanical ventilation and fog suppression cooling towers, which are double-sided mechanical ventilation cooling towers. The normal cooling water volume of a single cooling tower is 4000m3/h, and the total cooling water volume is 40000m3/h. The tower group is located on the southwest side of the factory area, arranged in a straight line and divided into two groups, each with 5 towers. The circulating water pump room is located on the east side of the tower area and shares one circulating water pump room. The cooling tower is a pultruded FRP frame structure, with a single tower height of 21.2 meters and a width of 21.1 meters. More than 400 tons of FRP extruded profiles were used in total.
