The new and old buildings of the Department of Civil Engineering at Tsinghua University are connected by a covered bridge, and the bridge deck design uses Speer GFRP mountain shaped slabs as permanent templates. Compared to traditional permanent formwork of profiled steel plates, GFRP material has the characteristics of light weight, convenient construction, and good durability. During installation, GFRP mountain shaped plates are laid on the secondary beam and fixed to the upper flange of the secondary beam with bolts; Install templates or seal the edges of the bridge deck with plastic to prevent overflow during concrete pouring; Place GFRP reinforcement and pour concrete. GFRP mountain shaped slabs can be manually transported without the need for crane equipment. During installation, they can be cut, assembled, and drilled on-site according to actual size requirements. After installation, strict anti-corrosion measures are not required.
