Spanish composite material apron

The apron is located on top of Tres Cruces Hospital in Bilbao, Spain, with a span of 3 meters and can accommodate helicopters weighing up to 6 tons (13200 pounds). The composite materials provided by Speer are highly suitable for meeting the technical requirements of corrosion resistance, lightweight structure, cost-effectiveness, and ease of design. This material has an anti slip coating with anti slip performance exceeding 45 (level 3).

In addition, the weight of this material is 60 kilograms per square meter (12.3 pounds per square meter), which has a higher strength to weight ratio compared to other helicopter landing pad materials. The material test results meet the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and have a fire rating of M1.
